We're delighted to announce that bloggers Maryam Monalisa Gharavi (South/South) and Aaron Bady (Zunguzungu) have joined The New Inquiry's editorial team as Editors at Large.
Maryam Monalisa Gharavi is a writer, poet, and filmmaker. She has contributed critical writing, essays, and poetry to various publications including the LA Review of Books, Triple Canopy, qarrtsiluni, Social Text, darkmatter, Electronic Intifada, Jadaliyya, and The New Inquiry. Her solo and collaborative films/videos have screened at Townhouse Gallery of Art, Anthology Film Archive, Boston Palestine Film Festival, Pacific Film Archive, among others. Currently she is a doctoral candidate in Comparative Literature and Film & Visual Studies and lecturer in History & Literature at Harvard University.
Aaron Bady is a PhD student at the University of California, Berkeley in American and African Literature and was a participant in and chronicler of Occupy Oakland. He has contributed to magazines including American Literature, Dissent, Jacobin, and of course, The New Inquiry.
