“Should we open the door to let a journalist in?”

 

One of the protestors on the 6th floor, who didn’t want to give his name, said the group of was prepared to stay in the office “partying” until Mendelson stepped down and until the administration respect the results of a referendum that would ensure student control for funding to QPIRG and CKUT.

The third-year Arts student said they had barricaded one door, and a second was being monitored by some of their members.

“But so far, there hasn’t been many efforts by anyone to come in,” he said.

The group had been live-streaming their occupation, until they shut down to hold a meeting in private. Some members could be seen wearing wigs or cardboard crowns on their heads or bandanas on their faces.

“Should we open the door to let a journalist in?” asked one.

“I hate journalists,” said another.

“But dude, it could be on the front page!”
